A dream begins…
Air Hockey Initiative- Update on ending project
When we first announced the Air Hockey Initiative, we were encouraged by the strong interest and support we received from several generous community donors who wanted to help make the project a reality.
As we moved further into planning, we completed a more detailed review of the costs associated with constructing a high-quality, durable outdoor air hockey rink. Unfortunately, the total project cost proved to be significantly higher than originally anticipated.
After careful consideration, the Crystal Lake Parks Initiative Foundation decided not to move forward with the project at this time. We have returned all donations that were specifically pledged toward the Deck Hockey Initiative.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who believed in this idea and offered their support. While this project is no longer moving forward, we remain committed to investing in initiatives that create meaningful and lasting benefits for our parks and community. We look forward to sharing future opportunities to make a positive impact together.
